Robin Ballard
Coach Ballard graduated
from Quitman High School, attended Stephen F. Austin State University and
played on the Lumberjack Golf Team. He played professional golf on both the
Asian Pro Golf Tour and Tournament Players Association Tour and was an
Assistant Golf Professional at Tawakoni Golf Club, Oak Forest CC, Willow Brook
CC, Hide-Away-Lake, and was Head Professional at Garden Valley Resort. He joined WISD in 1993 as a Social Studies
teacher and became the WHS golf coach in 1999. During his tenure, the boys’
teams have won three District Championships and have been the District
runner-up seven times. The girls’ teams were the 2013-2018 District Champs and
have been runner-up once. Coach Ballard
has always prided himself on preparing his students to be successful. He is
married to Dana, his wife of 36 years. They have two daughters, Cassie and
Megan, both WHS graduates. He is also
the proud grandfather on Ethan Michael
and Connor Del Lawson.
